1935. Stay at home and make fish pie!
Never mind Covid-19 just stay at home and make fish pie! After getting really anxious about everything that’s going on we have finally decided to take matters into our own hands and have cancelled our hotels booked for Gdańsk and Toruń whilst we still can with no penalty. If Ryanair don’t cancel the flights we’re just going to take the hit and not go...it seems the most sensible thing to do for us and for others. Jet2 may yet cancel our Gran Canaria holiday for May but they’ve been reasonable so they may let us take it later in the year. We also have a trip to France, Belgium and Germany coming up in June so we’ll have to wait and see what the travel company do about that but we may also lose money on Flights down to Luton and a couple of overnight stays in a hotel. In the grand scheme of things a few hundred pounds isn’t a big deal if we keep healthy and don’t infect others who may be more vulnerable than us....I also managed to sort the little problem with one of my brood...happy days....
Now we have a delicious (even if I do say so myself) fish pie for lunch which has been made in a cobbled together white wine sauce for which I didn’t have any cream...improvised and it’s not bad at all!
Just finishing the housework, heading to the garden centre to buy a new plant then home, into jammies and chill out....a perfect Sunday...
