Look at what's hanging on my wall!!

Well...here's a tale, this is the front of a double bass. Why, you might ask, is the front of a double bass hanging on your wall? For most of my working life I've played the bass as a job, the last mebbe 6/7 years I have had a new career which I love, teaching in a primary school. However, years ago a loved bass was stolen, it was replaced with a more lovely old being...instruments are definitely 'beings' ....the tale goes that my lovely old friend need it's belly repairing and so it's previous owner had a 'spare front' made so that he could continue to play the bass while the belly was being restored...

So when I bought my lovely old friend, it came with a spare front! :)
