Friday: Museum of Anthropology

I worked from home today which felt relatively productive.  To be honest, it’s not a bad thing that the diary is getting a bit quieter, even if the reason behind it isn’t so good.

I had an event at UBC tonight but it will probably be the last such event for a while.  BC has banned gatherings of 250 people or more and has said that people arriving from outside Canada should self-isolate for 14 days.

As for the event tonight, it was the first time that I experienced quite an ungracious First Nations greeting.  Then there was Bulgarian dancing, Italian arias, and French chansons.  I was talking to a group of people when I had to make a very hasty Cinderella like dash as my parking was about to expire and, boy, are they hot to trot on that at UBC.
