Phenomenal

Picked friends up in Boston Spa and drove to Southwell in Nottinghamshire. We’ve been planning to visit the Minster for ages. It is stupendous. Why didn’t anyone tell me about this sooner! Then a fab lunch in the cathedral cafe. Then a mooch about the Bishops Palace. And then a wander round the National Trust Southwell Workhouse. Also gob smackingly interesting, but in a rather different way. Back to Boston Spa for a Thai takeaway.
Oh and Happy Birthday David.
This is the workhouse. If only a small part of what was spent to the glory of God had been spent on caring for the poor. The contrast is striking.
I really should do extras on a day like today.
