Parasol Fungi    
Lorna Fraser was inspired to create Parasol Fungi  which she describes as a dreamlike carpet of microorganisms emerging from the forest floor after being concerned about the many discarded plastic water bottles found everywhere.  Although they look like glass these fungi are really the bases of single-use plastic water bottles.
This is on display at Edinburgh's Botanic Gardens as part of the Think Plastic exhibition of ways in which plastic could be recycled into art.
