Never far from a Castle in Scotland.

The sun came out as we drove up the esplanade at Stirling Castle. It’d been a bit snowy first thing, then very wet. We were in the area, and I decided we’d have a drive around rather than walk. The views from the esplanade to the north and west were excellent, as aye. On the way up we drove past the house our youngest son stayed as a student with his friends; it was central and a good place to stay.
