Dublin Buses and the NGI
A view of central Dublin from our 5th floor hotel room, at 18:20 this evening. The day had been mostly cloudy but dry; this shower was intense but very brief. We stayed dry going nearby for supper, at an unpretentious fish and seafood restaurant called the Kingfisher--as excellent as we remembered it. The day's main event was a long visit to the National Gallery of Ireland, including an excellent exhibition of photographs from the Bank of America Collection. The extra is a view of the Gallery's excellent small self-service restaurant, showing a brick wall of a derelict Georgian building the gallery expanded into.
