Up on the Roof

The workmen turned up this afternoon to fix the cementing around the ridge tile. They didn't bring cement so had to go off for 40 mins to get some. As usual, they criticized the person who did the temporary repair, who in turn criticized the person who replaced the ridge tile two years ago. I though a scaffold tower to get the 2m to the roof was a bit OTT.

A frustrating day. I waited in all day for a delivery by Staples, who didn't turn up. I chose some wood stain for my long run of fences, but couldn't find a store with sufficient in stock less than 75 miles away. I had another discussion with bulb over not replying to my complaint written at the beginning of Feb; my account not showing my electricity usage; and bills having estimated electricity usage (despite having smart meters) - turns out they have two systems which weren't in sync (we'll see). 

At last the govt has escalated their controls over the spread of Covid19  which are still much less stringent than other countries which is a worry. They estimate that the real number of people with it in the UK is probably 10,000.
