Memories!

A bowl of bazooka bubblegum brings back a flood of memories for me. My husband and I celebrated our 43 anniversary of our first date tonight. Our date was a high school Jazz Band concert followed by a dinner at Gigi’s family Italian restaurant. Amazingly this restaurant is still in business. We frequently visited this restaurant when we dated because it was a local hangout for our friends in high school. Every year we go to dinner to celebrate the anniversary of this very special night in our lives. One of the fun things is they’ve had a tradition for over 50 years of having bazooka bubblegum for their customers as they leave the restaurant. As teenagers we always made sure we took more than one piece on the way home!
