Going fishing

This evening, Fred, Ann and I headed to Union Chapel to watch the Red Programme of the Banff Film Festival. We had tea and tea cakes and we missed our usual BFF buddy who's having her own adventure in India.

The programme was a really entertaining mix of films – funny, serious, informative, and jaw-dropping. Here they are – if I've not said 'taster', then the whole film is in the link:

Charge [Fred's favourite – excellent skiing action!]
The Flip
Home [a taster here]
The Ladakh Project
Reel Rock: Up to Speed [a taster at 2:14 on this trailer]
Thabang
The Imaginary Line [my favourite]
Danny Day Care

Earlier in the day...
On the train this morning, everyone standing was either leaning or using their core – no touching. And, unusually, no sniffing and no coughing. It's very odd. I snapped the cormorant on the walk from the station to the office.

In Covent Garden at lunchtime, the shops had a smattering of people and the market traders were running at two thirds of their normal capacity and the rest of the stalls hadn't been occupied. The tourists are not here and trade is visibly down.

We're trying not to check the rolling news while in the office, but we're failing. We've realised that using the tissues that dry our hands in the loo can be used to open the door back into the office. Genius – a double-use tissue.
