A Brief Clear Spell

A riveting morning haggling with Pinnacle Water, and Scottish Water, about the lack of progress, information, support, direction, communication, general bon homie and lack of humanity in attempts to find the water main in Hoy.  Received a letter form the Hydro Board indicating they would be coming along to fit a smart meter.  I knew immediately they wouldn’t turn up, they didn’t disappoint.  It’s not easy channeling Richard Wilson.  However, Dougal was waiting in the Albert Hotel where we had a meal for the first time in about twenty years.

Wind up again at 55 mph today.  The home-made piccalilli has to stop.
