Ho Hum

The ice on our pond is quickly melting, and male/female pairs of waterfowl are starting to show up. For the past two days I saw two mallard couples and two gorgeous wood duck couples. The wood ducks are more skittish than the mallards, and my attempts to sneak up on them have been utterly futile. Will keep trying. (Good lord, I'm beginning to sound like a true birder!)

Otherwise, a sunny and cool day -- perfect for our first visit to the playground this year and a good romp in the mud!
