New life cycle

Monarchs, from the tiny egg no bigger than the head of a pin, the newly hatched caterpillar 6 mm long with a black head and no real colour, slightly larger 8mm with colour starting to appear, and finally bigger 1.5cm full colour and a eating machine. Tonight we did a count and spotted 36 hungry caterpillars on three plants. And still a few eggs yet to hatch.
