Great Blue Heron

A most beautiful early spring day today.
After visiting a friend, I stopped by the Delta Ponds Park for a walk to look for a suitable blip subject this afternoon and was treated to a flyby from two herons that likely are a mated pair.
I managed a quick snapshot of one of them.
On my way home, I noticed the "Cascades" train in the Union Pacific railyard and stopped to watch as one of the crew walked across the main tracks.
Then, as the train moved up to meet him, he climbed up into the locomotive and off the train went to collect passengers at the Eugene station. (see extra)
All this and a motorcycle ride tying it all together... a great afternoon.
