Big Puddle

On the way to our survey site this morning, Loch Arkaig was so high that it was over the road. It was not a nice feeling driving through this. It extended over about a 300 metre length.
Some quick arithmetic: If we assume Loch Arkaig is about 18km long and about 1km wide and that water level is about 1 metre higher than normal (and I think it is more in truth)  we have an extra 18 million cubic metres of water here and I am told it came up very fast.
