This is Bryan, part owner of my favorite local bike shop, Trinity. Got to see him, and Bernie (the other owner), Nicky, Gibby, and Mark. I rode up the hill to get a new rear tire--I'd ridden on a flat for a bit too long and damaged my sidewall (the tube poked through like some sort of black rubber tumor). Nicky the Speedy replaced it in a matter of moments. But it was good to see all the guys at the shop today--it had been too long. They are all so great. After, I rode with Mark over to Avoca to grab some coffee and hang with Garold. Then after that had a quick, early evening beer at Zio's. Then it was off to Central Market with Leah for dinner and groceries. Now pulling a late library night, grading papers and preparing for my final classes of the week tomorrow morning. But it was great to see all these guys today, pedal around with real people, talk to real people. People are real. We are real.
