Nor’west Arch ...

... over west Christchurch and the Estuary. This arch is produced by a nor’west wind, and would be known as a föhn wind in some parts of the world. It’s my Blip for yesterday.

I’m sitting here with ice on my knee, below and above. An ice sandwich!
The Dr says the extensive bruising & swelling has developed into mild thrombophlebitis - I find that word hard to remember. Hopefully the new regime of some limited gentle walks, a compression tube (ugh), and continued icing will do the trick. It’s turned into a mission. A somewhat painful one it’s been too.
I keep reminding myself to be grateful - it really could have been far worse!
