Sally Mair - Loving life

Forth View

Church this morning where I was on duty for the first time with our new Rector. It was lovely to see everybody again but I was quite temperature challenged as we still have no heating and I was wearing an alb so compared to many somewhat underdressed! Such a contrast to the 40° I was enjoying last Sunday.
I went into town to John Lewis and met up with Ali in the restaurant. The view across the Forth on a clear day is spectacular. The new St James Quarter seems to be coming along quite quickly now..
Ali and I walked along George Street and shared a pizza before walking down into Stockbridge. We trawled the charity shops as Ali was looking for a jigsaw, there seems to be a remarkable shortage though. Perhaps everybody is preparing for self isolation due to the virus and is stocking up on jigsaws and other things to do!!
Back home we had some of the chicken soup I made yesterday, a good batch if I do say so myself.
