Rhubarb and Daffodils

First day at the allotment this year. The rhubarb and daffodils are blossoming. The soil is cold and wet. Time for fertiliser and planning.
Home to plant seeds, broad beans, tomatoes, peas and flowers, a first cos ye cannae eat these ones.
As always my excitement mounts at this time of year as we look ahead to such promise.

And how apt to have such a fabulous day on International Women's Day. To all those women in my family who strive to achieve, to love and to make the most of everything that life offers. To Craftynini who inspires me everyday with her positivity and attack of life. To my mum, who since her passing, has allowed me to remember how fierce she was, how her passion for family and life never ceased. That big personality is missed but how lucky we have been to share in her love.
