Great Lady

Had to think of an International Women’s Day blip and realised there was a great lady just above my head !!
Ellen Terry - the great Victorian actress . She was the first actress to be made a Dame.
She starred for many years in the 1890s at the Lyceum theatre with Sir Henry Irving .
The print is from a woodcut by her notorious son the actor , writer , stage designer ,theatre visionary Gordon Craig - but more of him another time .
