Longer

Up early (for me on a Sunday) to attend my anatomy course this morning.  Today we did the respiratory and renal systems.  As I am spreading the course over two years, I left at 1pm whilst others continued.

The weather today has been like that you'd expect in April, with sunshine then heavy downpours.  This afternoon Merlin and I got caught in a cloud burst of rain and hail.  We had popped to the allotment to check on it and suddenly the heavens opened.  Fortunately we were able to shelter together behind a rudimentary fence.  Poor Merlin got quite wet but I hopefully managed to protect him from the worst of it.

On our way we passed along this hedge line.  Each time I walk along here I think it is rather interesting to see how one of the branches of the tree has been able to grow so much longer than its counterparts by virtue of the fact it is in the hedge line and not chopped off by the hedge trimmer that comes along each year.  It gives an idea of how big this tree might be if it were not given such a drastic hair cut each year!

Hoping your day has been a good one and look forward to catching up with your blips.
