'This Room and This Singing'
I travelled with friends up to Lockerbie to join 90+ others in a singing workshop led by Ali Burns and Brendan Taaffe. We sang some great songs, including one written in memory of Ali's sister ('You my love are stitched on my heart'), one about world affairs ('My sister when tolerance is gone, I will not hate and I will not fear, in our darkest hour hope lingers here') and one more joyful one about the room being full of singing, with a great backing part ('Dm ba dum, dm ba dum'). Here Ali is with Jennie Fisk keeping the sopranos and altos in order.
