Faith Hope and Love

Backblip

The plan was to play golf this morning to keep my mind clear. The forecast was for a good day. We arrived at the course in thick fog - see extra. Various people were waiting for it to lift but 45 minutes later it was only just beginning to and we realised that we no longer had time. By the time we'd had a hot drink in the bar the fog had gone, everyone else had gone off to play  and it was a glorious day. Our game just wasn't to be. 

Back home it was time to get ready. The church was packed with just under 500 people. The instruction was for brighter colours and the choir and clergy all wore buttonholes of her favourite flowers and colour. Faith, Hope and Love ran through the whole service. She had planned it all and it was an amazing service of a celebration of life and the joy of the resurrection. It was a privilege to lead it and a privilege to know her, a dear friend and support. We met in the village hall afterwards. By the time I got home  I was totally drained.
