Framlingham Castle
Built in the 12th century, situated in the county of Suffolk UK, and open to the public courtesy of English Heritage.
The photo is taken from a walkway on the top of the castle wall. One historical gem is that Mary Tudor was proclaimed queen here in 1553. She was otherwise known as Bloody Mary for pursuing Protestant heretics and having them burnt at the stake in their hundreds.
