Elfin Loch

Another feature that I have run past countless times without noticing. 

This small loch is just off the path up to Braid Hills. What made me stop during my run is I believe a information post has been put up by the path providing information about the loch. Had the post not been there I would have thought it was just a small man made pond for the golf course. 

In the early 1900s is was a place of scientific interest as the last surviving Braid Hills pond to have been formed by glaciers during the ice age.
