Thursday: Hotel and Convention

Pretty much my only photo of the day.

I hosted a reception tonight for a visiting delegation here to talk about advanced therapies.  In amidst of a room full of scientists and doctors I was yet again reminded that I do not have a scientific bone in my body.....

What was interesting, though, was the range of new forms of greeting.  Handshake is definitely out.  I did the full range, though: head nod, fist bump, elbow bump and the best.........foot wiggle........

I asked a few of the scientists how bad the current situation was.  They just said ‘it’s bad’..........the figures they shared of what will probably come weren’t good........
