Steatoda Nobilis (at least I think it is)

I know its geeky and most people hate them, but I was excited to see this false widow hanging from the corner in the lounge this evening, the first one I have found in the new house and quite a good size. I think it's a noble false widow and not the similar looking steatoda grossa but I do struggle to tell the difference. I need to buy a decent spider ID book.

Today has been OK if unremarkable. I walked the girls to and back from Preschool with work inbetween and the sun was shining today - a very nice change.

Then it was a dentist checkup for me. Back home and a quiet tv night in between blinding this poor spider with my flash. I'll leave it alone now before it bites me. They aren't usually aggressive but will give a nasty bite if provoked.
