Flowering Currant

A second appearance for this flowering currant in my journal this spring, but this time the blossom is still on the bush rather than in an arrangement. 

It was a rather lovely spring-like day, but a variety of commitments meant I didn't manage to make the most of it, though it was actually warm enough to sit on one of our garden benches for a while around midday. And I saw a ladybird and a dung fly - the first of the year.

Still the car now has its MOT for another year and Daisy has been signed off from the vet, who thought she was truly remarkable for her age. He tried to look in her mouth to see how it was healing, but she stubbornly refused to open it - he understood why we've never even attempted to clean her teeth!

Perhaps I might manage a trip out tomorrow if the sunshine stays with us!
