Netherton Foundry

After years of killing "non-stick" pans, I decided it was time for something better. It turns out that standard non-stick pans are neither designed for regular use, nor for high temperatures. I cook omelettes most days on a high heat so no wonder I trash my pans.

My options seemed to be ceramic, stainless steel or cast iron. All had pros and cons. Then I came across the Netherton Foundry. British made pans but instead of being cast iron, they're spun iron so lighter weight! Perfect for someone with chronic wrist pain. Locally made, beautifully pre-seasoned. Emailed the company as the internet thought cast iron is no good for omlettes, got a very informative phone call and some photos of the owners omelettes.

Well that was decision made. It finally arrived yesterday and today, I got to test it for the first time. Beautifully cooked omelette in a pan that was a pleasure to use!
