A Bench with a View

The innkeeper made it up to us with a most delicious home-cooked breakfast.   There was only one other couple staying at the Inn, and we never heard or saw them until breakfast.  They were a delightful retired couple from southeastern Ontario, Canada and they invited us to join them.

After breakfast, we drove to Skyline Drive for a hike.  This was taken at the DIckey's Ridge Visitor's Center and looks out over the northern end of the Shenanadoah Valley with Massanutten Mountain in the distance. 

Early afternoon we drove home with a stop at the liquor store to pick up several bottles of Single Malt Scotch (birthday gifts from the boys).  Dinner out at a newly opened Phillipino Restaurant was what he wanted.  He was very happy with it all
