Variations on a Lamp

Brought this lamp back from my tour at RAF Gan, Maldives, in 1976 after spending 7 months there. It was Green Onyx then but as decor changed in the dining room it has changed to Red, Gold Wax, Silver and now Silver again as it was looking a bit Jaded (jaded, green onyx, get it?).

Had to give it a good rub down with steel wool to make sure it was clean and the spray paint took to it beautifully.

Just need a new shade now and it has a new lease of life.
Also brought back a couple of green onyx ashtrays, which we haven't needed for about the last 25 years.
