Lovely Old Things

These are some of the beautiful old pieces of porcelain that I have collected over the years.  I used to sell this type of antique china, and I miss those days -- it was such fun to haunt auction houses and estate sales in search of treasure, and then to find new homes for the things I found.  I've photographed that curious little four-legged tea cup before -- my mother gave it to me when I was six years old, and I have cherished it ever since.  The little covered box enjoyed the limelight back in January, and the other plates decorate the walls in our master bath.
