A wall, a Tree Stump and Crocuses

What a glorious day it turned out to be! So glorious was it with sunshine and no wind that I recklessly dispensed with my woolie hat. So glorious that even the crocuses decided to open the petals a little and although I heard no cuckoo, I had my first sight this year of a couple sitting on the grass of the Meadows.

I trundled my snazzy old lady shopping trolley filled with cast outs from my wardrobe through the sunshine to a charity shop at Bruntsfield and then shopped with it at Waitrose in Morningside where many of the affluent burghers of the south side seem to shop. I saw nobody I knew.

Home to Sainsbury’s local shop buy some Cadbury’s Creme eggs to shove up the behinds of my knitted chickens only to discover that they had gone up 43% overnight from a loss leader of 35p to 50p, making it an expensive shove. Still, needs must..... .....
