Ray Charles--"Yes Indeed!!"

This old record cover was displayed in a shop window near us. It's evidently a French version of an R&B/soul album by Ray Charles released in 1958 by Atlantic Records in the United States. Atlantic was his first major label, and this album was the second of three compiling his hits for them.

The French notation reads (best in large): " Unplayable vinyle - Collectible cover - ATLANTIC record label - 20 euros". I should perhaps say that I'm only a very selective fan of popular music, but I find this quite touching. The books on the right include two from Routard, a publisher of French travel guides which emphasize good value (seems appropriate here :)
