Collecting acorns

If you want to try a new taste sensation, you could do worse than sucking on an acorn.  They don't taste all that great if you scrunch them between your back teeth, but they are lovely and smooth on the tongue.  So we does collect acorns to suck at this time of year.  Sometimes they do get scrunched, and then we do spit the bits out.  Usually on the carpet in the front room.  Let us tell you that does not win you friends.

Next door's is ever so busy.  There are lots of men there all the time, and yesterday they did take the roof almost all off.  And today, they have been busy building it back up again. 

Why bother we did ask ourselves, but we have long given up trying to fathom the deep recesses of a human mind. 

It's usually full of tangles.
