Logging trucks

These trucks thunder along the highways and byways with two or sometimes more trailers filled with logs for chipping, building, paper making or export, it is a major part of the economy. Today we did a treck from Taupo in the middle of the North island eastwards and out to Gisborne - a journey of 4.5 hours made longer by RAIN, fog, wind and logging trucks.
The drought that has been paralyzing the north island appears to be coming to an end.
