Best foot forward....

It didn’t rain today ! What went wrong ?
Fed the cattle then cracked on building up the last of the lambing pens in the shed. That’s 45 pens made , now only 30 more gates to tie on and we are almost done.
Will need to dry up or get a very hard frost before I can put bales out to the fields for shelters. And we start next week.
Mr D came and stripped the head off my poorly Case tractor. Looks like it might not just be the head gasket but the cylinder liner seals as well. An altogether more expensive fix. And just to make the day worse, wee brother’s John Deere tractor needs a head gasket too. No water in the sump oil yet but heading that way. So not a good day tractor wise.
This is what ground conditions are like at the moment- very soft under foot. Multiply that by 20 cows and 4 feet each and you can see why their field now looks like a paddy field. Roll on summer.
