When the choice is watching Liverpool v Chelsea on television or Chester v Tranmere Rovers in a Cheshire Senior Cup tie there is only one winner.

An accident on the M56 caused major traffic problems this evening and the kick off was delayed. This explains why there were quite a few people hanging around outside the ground when I arrived and took this blip.

It was another very entertaining game which Chester won with a first half penalty. The team was a mixture of fringe players, youngsters and  players returning from injury but they all gave a good account of themselves in what is only a minor competition. There was also good news that all our promotion rivals in the league dropped points tonight.
