Too Late ...
The last train went through about half a century ago. This is Hassendean, on the Waverley line. The section that reopened in 2015 doesn't reach as far as this. But who knows, maybe one day we'll be able to get on here and travel to Edinburgh or Carlisle.
My only achievement today was pricking out 80 onion seedlings which should have been done a couple of weeks ago. They are looking very spindly. Fingers crossed they will survived. I also hacked Clematis flammula to the ground - it was already sprouting leaves, another job that should have been tackled earlier. You know what they say about the difference between a good farmer and a bad one? Three weeks. It applies to gardeners too :-(
