A new visitor to our garden

I was at the computer in our study today when I heard the unmistakeable grating sound of a pheasant.  Looking out through our bedroom window there he was strutting up our front path to the front door, past the lounge window and round the corner into the back garden as if he did it every day.  We have occasionally heard a pheasant but I certainly haven't seen one in the garden before.  They do have the most spectacular colours when you see them at close quarters - I just wish they had a bit more road sense.
