Aeonium flowers

The aeonium is still sheltering the winter away in the pollytunnel, it won't be outside until the frost risk has gone. It's quite warm in there so it's decided that flowering is a great thing to do!! I'm told they are supposed to die after they flower. It flowered a bit last year but started alive, now it's flowering a lot so will it make the summer?
