Morning

I have the nicest bed in the ward I think. In the far corner next to the window.

First thing in the morning the ward is very peaceful as the nurses gradually waken us up. This is the view first thing from my bed. The machines that you see at the ends of the beds are cuffs which go on your foot or leg and constantly "squeeze" you r leg gently during the night to avoid deep vein thrombosis....very clever!! Better than the old compression stockings!!
