Yet another stormy day. I woke with the wind whistling round the house.  Went to church - that was interesting. No handshakes any more and taking the wine has become 'optional' due to Covid-19. I did suggest that as everyone did take the wine, perhaps if instead, they wiped the chalice with a vodka soaked cloth to kill any pathogens... The visiting vicar then told me it was fine, as the chalice was silver and that would kill any virus. Hmm. Well. The chalice IS silver, and that has antimicrobial properties - but I wouldn't rely on it.

The daffodils were being buffeted in the church yard, but I like the cheerfulness of them...

Today's soup was butternut squash (using the skin as flavouring). Chores now...
