Wet.
This is the scene from one of the bedroom windows when I looked out at 7:00 this morning. A lot of small lakes and a Duck outside Miss Tbays house. Bodes well for the next few days I fear!!
We are so lucky to be relatively dry. The ground may be very wet and small lakes appearing but we are dry in the house unlike some very unlucky people .
Today we said our final farewell to Mr R with a lovely thanksgiving service attended by just shy of 400 people. Mr Tbay gave a truly beautiful eulogy and both Miss Tbay and Mr Tbay Jnr read poems do well. Currently we are sitting with family reminiscing of past happy times.
A packed village hall afterwards was a testament to this very special person and his many friends.
Finally I would like to share words Miss Tbay said a few hours before his death when sitting with her father , aunt and two cousins. I have no idea how she thought of this but it is so very true. “The magnitude of the loss of our future must not overshadow the joy of our past “ Beautiful words indeed .
