Lower Breck 4 Daisy Hill 3
Chester's game was called off last night but this gave me the opportunity to try out my new camera at a football ground I hadn't been to before.
Lower Breck are based at the Anfield Sports and Community Centre very close to the other Anfield. They are top of the North West Counties Division One North and today they were playing 4th placed Daisy Hill. Despite the wind it was an entertaining game with the home team recovering from 2-0 and 3-2 down to win with a late goal which follows the pattern of recent games I have attended. That is 17 goals I have seen in the last 3 games.
As far as grounds are concerned it is not very appealing with an artificial pitch surrounded by a big fence. In fairness it is a sports and recreation facility for what is a very deprived area of Liverpool and there appears to be a lot going on with good facilities.
One of the Lower Breck players was on loan from Chester and he had quite a good game. He is only a youngster and Chester sent him out for experience.
I didn't get any shots of the goals, but had a good play with the camera and was really pleased with the results. This is just a general action shot with Lower Breck in red and Daisy Hill in blue.
