Keir Starmer

I went to hear Keir Starmer, who I hope and expect to be the new leader of the Labour Party, talk tonight in Southampton. The talk in Southampton was the end of a busy day of campaigning including a hustings in Brighton and a talk in Portsmouth. He was very positive, optimistic for the future and had inspiring views about healing the rifts in the party. Just as well as I’d cast my vote for him before the meeting.
