Snow showers

The original walk for today was cancelled because of weather and avalanche risk, the back-up walk was postponed because of a horrible weather forecast and plan C was expanded to include parkrun (our one and only chance to run it on Feb 29th).
We did not get the sleet, snow and high winds forecast the previous day (though they might well arrive overnight) but did get mainly sun with a bit of a chilly breeze and a couple of snow showers.
parkrun was a last minute decision and had to be run slowly as I'd had too much breakfast (my excuse) and there was lots of mud in places.
Cafe for a roll with sausage (as opposed to a sausage roll), a bit of shopping, change of clothes and some more food and then out to some hills nearby.
Parts were very muddy but we found a way to the top of a hill we hadn't been up before and this was the view northish after the snow showers had showered on us. One of the extras is the view back to Dundee and the other a very useful boat in the loch on the way.
It was hard work at times but well worth it for the views
