Der Hamsterkauf/Panic Buying

I've never seen our supermarket look so empty.  Rice & Pasta - all gone apart from the microwave stuff.  A chat with one of the staff here revealed that it's being going on all week.  The store orders more rice & pasta (and lots of other things), and then they're gone within 2 hours of them being on the shelves.  This is much worse than Xmas.

And while we might be facing shortages in the shops, there seems to be an unlimited supply of stupidity and some people have definitely been binging on it.  Way too many examples of it today - I couldn't pick an AdT. I worry about that.

We're home, I have a pot of curry bubbling away on the stove, the rain is lashing down outside and I'm grateful once again that I live with a wonderful woman and two lovely cats.
