Sri Lankan Bay Owl

Gireesh had us all gathered for a forest walk and was very excited to have found this little owl. It is an extremely rare find and had taken the rangers 8 days to find it. It was hidden in a small bush not far from a track, but the sanctuary is about 25sq km!. Talk about a needle in a haystack. The owl was fast asleep so I had a chance to grab a couple of shots. I'm not a very speedy bird photographer and they generally need to be nailed to the perch :))
