When We’re cleaning Windows.

It was window cleaning for this block of flats today. I would love to see the views these cleaners have, not only through the windows of the flats but over the surrounding environs to the snow dusted Pentlands Hills to the south.

It has been a bleak, grey damp day,and a cold one too, the kind of day to sap the spirit of the ever resilient inhabitants of this fair city and certainly this Lady who was happy to scurry home from wool buying to the relative (and I use the word loosely) warmth of the Dower House. When the rain set in after lunch, there was no way she was going out again until the TGIF drinkies late in the afternoon. Much knitting was accomplished, but her derrière is spreading alarmingly with all the sitting.

This will be the third weekend with a named storm arriving on our shores. The Gods and the jet stream are having a laugh..........
